About Information
My name is Thomas Parkman.
This page is going to consist of Texas hold'em poker talk and the more part is going to be interviews with different people in different towns across the area and eventually across the country.
I started playing card games as soon as i could hold cards, from dummy rummy to pinochle and several other family home games. I did not get into hold'em until later in life. I fell in love with the game. Over the past 3 decades I have gotten to meet some amazing people from all around the area. After moving to Devil's Lake ND recently. I wanted to get back into the free poker hold'em. Unfortunately there was no place in town to play. I happened to meet one Shane Diseth owner of Lotta's Bar. As we were visiting i mention wanting to play poker again. Shane said, hey if you want to start one here you're more than welcome. I contacted a few different people and ended up having FPN come in. So Tuesday nights i agreed to set it up and run it. The very first night did not go so good, no one showed up. Disappointed and wondering, what do i have to do. I put up as many posters that i had. I just kept talking to different people trying to get them interested. Well on the second week i set up a table and the closer it got to play time i was thinking this is not going to be good, I was wrong. I got my first table of players. Do you remember the old Alka- seltzer commercial, plop plop fizz fizz O what a relief it is, that's how i felt, got 7 players plus me. I still have that sign in sheet in my folder. Now we have 39 names on the roster and still growing. Yes some of the names are from people that were in town to visit relatives or friends. Which brings us back to the point of getting to meet so many different people. That right there is why i love doing this. This gave me the idea to start going to different locations and visit townspeople and different businesses, then that evening play some poker.
Please understand this is my very first web page. It will get better as i learn how to build it and tell my story.
